The Fe-Pt-rich alloys has recently attracted a lot of interest for their potential development of the hard magnetic L1 0 (also denoted γ 1 ) FePt phase with high magnetocrystalline anisotropy. An alloy with the nominal composition Fe 65 Pt 25 Nb 2 B 8 has been synthesised by rapid quenching of the m

The additional effect of Zr, Nb and Ti to the melt-spun Fe-Pt-B alloys has been investigated. An L1 0 -FePt nanocrystalline structure with a grain size less than 100 nm and coercivity (H c ) higher then 200 kA/m were obtained for the melt-spun (Fe 0.55 Pt 0.45 )-M-B (M = Zr, Nb and Ti) alloys withou
