โฆ Synopsis
High quality Tm-doped LiLuF 4 (Tm:LLF) single crystal was grown by the Czochralski technique. Room temperature absorption spectrum and fluorescence spectrum of the Tm:LLF crystal were measured and analyzed. Based on Judd-Ofelt approach, the intensity parameters ฮฉ ฮป (ฮป = 2,4,6) were calculated to be ฮฉ2 = 0.93ร10 -20 cm 2 , ฮฉ4 = 1.19ร10 -20 cm 2 , and ฮฉ 6 = 1.75ร10 -20 cm 2 . Other spectroscopic parameters that relate to laser performance were also obtained. Finally, laser performance of Tm:LLF crystal was investigated and 1.92 ฮผm laser with a maximum output power of 7.16 W was obtained.
