New crystal Nd 3+ :YbVO 4 has been successfully grown by using the Czochralski method. The rocking curves from (0 0 4) and (4 0 0) diffraction planes of as-grown Nd 3+ :YbVO 4 crystal were measured by the high-resolution X-ray diffractometer (HRXRD) D5005, and the full-width values at half-maximum w

β¦ Synopsis
PbMoO 4 :Nd 3 + and PbWO 4 :Nd 3 + single crystals were grown by the Czochralski method. The Nd 3 + doping was performed by means of isostructural and non-isostructural compounds. Co-doping was also used. The spectral-kinetic characteristics of PbMoO 4 :Nd 3 + and PbWO 4 :Nd 3 + crystals were studied. Dielectric measurements were carried out at various temperatures ranging from 100 to 500 1C and at various frequencies ranging from 25 Hz to 1 MHz using the parallel plate capacitor method. Parameters of the dielectric relaxation process are determined. The possible mechanism of charge compensation is discussed.
