## Abstract A new dicobalt pyrophosphate, Co~2~P~2~O~7~Β·6H~2~O, has been synthesized and characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction. The compound belongs to the mono clinic space group __P__2~1~/__n__, and its unit cell dimensions are: __a__ = 7.2077(2), __b__ = 18.3373(5), __c__ = 7.6762(2)
