The capacity of Li/VeO, batteries is improved by the extension of the usual cycling domain from 0 G I(; Q 1 to 0 QX d 1.8. Such behavior is attributed to the formation of a y-LiV206 bronze for x2 1. Reversible deintercalation of lithium from the y-phase leads to a new form of VeO, that explains the enhancement of ceil potential.
