โฆ Synopsis
Agriculture is highly dependent on environmental conditions and the climate is likely to be the most important factor in determining the agricultural potentialities of a region The macrochmate determines the adequacy of a region for a crop while the yield is determined by the weather conditions. The crop requirements should be adequately assessed with respect to temperature and moisture. If possible, the probability of occurrence of extremes should also be used.
Crop zoning should be carried out by teams including specialists in many areas. Fmld trips are indispensable in order to sense the physical and social characteristics of the region. Chmatologically, the region should be elassihed as apt, marginal, or inapt for a crop Due consideration should also be given to the use of some agronomm techniques in order to overcome some of the climatic limitations to the crop welfare.
