✦ Synopsis

We compare and contrast various notions of the "critical locus" of a complex analytic function on a singular space. After choosing a topological variant as our primary notion of the critical locus, we justify our choice by generalizing LΓͺ and Saito's result that constant Milnor number implies that Thom's a f condition is satisfied.

We bound the spectrum of singularities of functions in the critical Besov spaces, and we show that this result is sharp, in the sense that equality in the bounds holds for quasi-every function of the corresponding Besov space.
