Critical Flicker Fusion Threshold (CFFT) is a psychophysical threshold and, in psychological terms, it is regarded as a measure of information processing capacity. CFFT has previously been shown to be a valid and reliable measure in young healthy volunteers and it also has a long history of use as a

โฆ Synopsis
Critical Flicker Fusion Threshold (CFFT) is now a well established measure in psychopharmacological research in both volunteer and patient populations. This paper examines some of the theoretical aspects of CFFT which investigators should be aware of, and the role of CFFT in psychopharmacological research. It also explores the anatomical and neurophysiological basis of CFFT measurement and discusses the possible application of CFFT as a simple means of detecting early Alzheimer's disease.
