We have succeeded in preparing YBa2Cu3Oy (YBaCuO) films on MgO (100) and NdGaO 3 (1 I0) substrates by the liquid phase epitaxy (LPE) technique. BaO-CuO was used as flux, and the substrates were put into the molten solution at 970-1000 °C for 5-30 rain in an yttria crucible. We obtained c-axis orient
