✦ Synopsis

Magnetization studies of critical currents Jc(H.L,T) have been carded out on Pb/Ge multilayers with a square lattice of submicrometer holes. Sharp peaks in Jc(H_I.) have been observed at integer H n and rational Hk/1 matching fields. The existence of multi-quanta vortices confined by the holes is confirmed. New rational flux line patterns at H = Hk/1 have been identified. The dependence of the pinning force on the number of flux lines trapped by each hole is analyzed.
