โฆ Synopsis
Micron-scale structures have been fabricated from BiSCCO (2212) single crystal whiskers to study the effect of the Josephson interlayer coupling on the critical current across the CuO layers (I c .Lab) in a b-parallel magnetic field H. A Frauenhofer-like I c (H) dependence has been observed, which reflects intrinsic the DC Josephson effect in layered superconductors.

Magnetization measurements have been carried out on Pb doped Bi2SrzCa2Cu30 ~ (Bi-2223) whiskers with the applied field parallel to the c-axis. The temperature dependence of the first flux penetration field Hp can be approximated by Hp(T) = Hp(0)[1 -(T/Tc) 2 ] in the region T> 50 K, while it increase
