✦ Synopsis
This paper presents criteria for supersaturation for several practically important cases of gas-liquid reactions involving a volatile product. It is shown that the supersaturation conditions predicted from film theory equations differ considerably from the ones predicted from the penetration theory equations. For one type of gas-liquid reaction theoretical predictions are verified by preliminary tests on two experimental systems,
