Sir: I read the recent article by Kind [I] with great interest. I find his paradigm of evidence as falling into three chapters very persuasive and helpful to my understanding of the processing of evidence. However, I feel that his criticisms of the statistical approach, and in particular the Bayesian approach, to the evaluation of evidence are unfair.
