Abstract

All employees, not just leaders, must cultivate the mindset of an owner, Prosek asserts. Others besides you must maintain the mentality that they too have a financial stake. She describes the “Commission for Life” that has been successful in her own company. Anyone can earn a 5 percent commission (as long as they remain with the firm) on new business that has been brought in as the result of setting up a successful new business meeting. This device, Prosek finds, keeps staffers inspired, motivated, and connected.
