✦ Synopsis

This work is comprehensive and well illustrated; there are some 2471 illustrations, 427 of which are in colour, and they are consistently good, especially the photomicrographs, but it is a pity that the magnification is not given in these pictures.

Plastic surgery of the lips and palate are well described and illustrated. This work will remain the best reference volume on oral surgery that has so far been published.
