β¦ Synopsis
A variety of integral transform methods to crack problems were collected in [ 1-3]. Nevertheless, the solutions previously obtained in plane elasticity are limited to the case in which the traction applied on the crack face is symmetric with respect to the center of the crack. Generally speaking, the loading applied on the crack face can be separated into a symmetric part and an antisymmetric part. With this in mind, the antisymmetric loading case is also important for fracture analysis. Using the integral transform method, the crack problem in plane elasticity under antisymmetric loading will be solved in this note.
