Taken Over "I'll be waiting for you downstairs ." Christie told Nathaniel as she walked out of the office. Silence reigned for a moment then "Me too." said Nathaniel as he widened his mouth for a quick smile. Christie had worked on a murder case three years ago with Nathaniel and based on her previous experience with him, she couldn't wait to get into the scene.
Book 2 : The Cold Case
Agent Mary James wasnβt going to just sit there and see her uncle getting turned down for something that she didnβt do. He was the reason as to why she had joined the force and she believed that he had been framed and for that matter, was willing to do just about anything to make sure that he had been freed. And even though the judge or her superiors hadnβt given her the greenlight, she decided to go forward with her investigations regardless.
Book 3 : The Sixth Sense
The child psychiatrist was coming to pick up Kerri for questioning over the murder of her foster mom and it was clear as crystal that the little girl was scared. All the evidence was pointing towards her being the murdered and from where agent Paula was standing, some things just werenβt adding up.
And being the kickass police officer that she was; it was her solemn duty to ensure that no hard came to the little girl even if she was guilty. And just like that, she knew that it was about that time that she started digging.
Book 4 : The Enemy Outside
Time was running out. And if at all she wasnβt going to do a damn thing about it, then she was most definitely going to lose the case and allow the wrong person to go behind bars. And as agent smith was doing all in her power to ensure that she was making sense out of all that was happening, something just popped up in her head just like that and all of a sudden, everything made sense. She knew just what she was supposed to do to get the real culprit.
Book 5 : On the Stroke of Midnight
Agent Martinez waited for a moment and went through the evidence once again. For some strange reason, she just wasnβt satisfied even though they had already busted the real culprits. As far as she was concerned, all that she wanted to be done was to get down to some serious business that will see to it that the right culprit was caught and charged.
And just like that, something ticked. The gold watch that the beggar was wearing looked like the exact semblance of the one that Mr. Howard was wearing and just like that, it seemed as though everything was now starting to make some serious sense. And without wasting any time, she put her coffee mug down and went back to her office. It was about time that they knew whatever the heck was going on.
