What you see is not always what you get. The cover picture shows Lake Matheson in New Zealand, famous for its reflections of Mt. Cook and Mt. Tasman, where the still waters can make it difficult to tell the mountains from their reflection. Mirror‐image symmetry can break down in the microscopic world (parity violation), and high‐resolution spectroscopy cannot distinguish between molecular enantiomers. The [(C~5~H~5~)Re(CO)(NO)I] molecule gives very large parity‐violation energy differences that bring us closer to detecting such tiny effects.
