✦ Synopsis
Abstract
Coumarin‐based receptor R1 recognizes Ni^2+^ at sub‐micromolar levels in aqueous ethanolic medium (60:40) at physiological pH and exhibited INH logic function at pH values below 7. Additionally, this system showed reconfiguration to AND as well as TRANSFER logic functions in aqueous and dry dimethyl sulfoxide, respectively. The complexation of Ni^2+^ with R1 constituted the key step in its recognition, which was excellently demonstrated through single‐crystal XRD analysis.
