✦ Synopsis

Abstrae~This paper reviews the costs and economics of wind turbine generator (WTG) power plants and provides a brief discussion on the development status, costs, cost of energy, value of energy, type of credits and breakeven costs. Conclusions are drawn that the competitiveness of WTGs with conventional power plants will improve in proportion to the rate of production of WTGs. WTGs located in reasonably windy regions are expected to produce electrical power at the busbar at about 4 8 Β’ kWh ~.

An economic evaluation of wind power in a utility context is attempted. The potential advantages to the utility evolving out of wind farm site dispersal are investigated during the analysis. In general terms, arrays of wind farms produce some firm capacity because of the diversity of wind at the dis

## Abstract Effective utilization of renewable energies such as wind energy instead of fossil fuels is desirable. Wind energy is not constant and windmill output is proportional to the cube of the wind speed, which causes the generated power of wind turbine generators (WTGs) to fluctuate. In order
