✦ Synopsis

Twenty -eight brain-injured and 26 disabled males were administered a simple level of aspiration test. A11 brain-injured Ss showed signs of emotional lability. The recently injured showed reasonable performance expectations, but tended t o state high, unrealistic aspirations. The chronically injured were extremely cautious in expectations, but stated reasonable aspirations. The results generally supported Goldstein's coping model.
