Mag-drive pumps prepared for land speed record attempt

Totton P u m p s has supplied six 24 volt magnetic drive p u m p s capable of transferring 40 l p m of aviation fuel to feed the jet powered l a n d speed record cont e n d e r Thrust SSC.

The m o n s t e r vehicle, 54 ft, 7 tons, is being prepared for Mach 1.1 in the Nevada Desert later this year. The car needs only to carry sufficient fuel for one run, a n d m u s t be refuelled each time with a m i n i m u m of four r u n s needed.
