The corrosion behavior of Zircaloy-4 in 1 N H2S04 with small amounts of NaF was investigated by means of radionuclide technical and electrochemical methods. In this corrosion system cladding hulls of spent fuel elements were corroded under potentiostatic control. The activity of released radionuclides was measured as a function of wall loss. From this the distribution pattern of these nuclides in the wall of the fuel hull can be calculated. Fission products show pronounced concentration profiles in the first 10 km. Activation products exhibit constant activities in the wall material.
Das Korrosionsverhalten von Zircaloy-4 in 1 n H,SO, mit geringen NaF-Gehalten wurde mit einer kombinierten radionuklidtechnischen und elektrochemischen Methode untersucht. Unter potentiostatischen Bedingungen wurden in diesem Korrosionssystem Hiillrohr-Abschnitte abgebrannter Brennelemente korrodiert. Dabei wurde die Aktivitat freigesetzter Radionuklide in Abhangigkeit vom Wandabtrag gemessen und daraus das Verteilungsmuster dleser Nuklide in der Hiillrohrwand berechnet. Spaltprodukte zeigen ein ausgepragtes Konzentrationsprofil in den ersten 10 pm der Hiillrohrinnenseite. Aktivierungsprodukte von Zircaloy-Verunreinigungen weisen eine konstante Konzentration auf.
