Abstract
On the basis of results so far available on inhibitors for water, sodium chloride and other salt solutions new results are reported which were obtained with respect to the inhibition in sodium persulfate solutions. The inhibitors studied in this context show increasing efficiency in the order nicotinic acid β quinonline β pyridine β alphaβpicoline β 2,4βlutidine. The efficiency is primarily due to the nitrogen atom facilitating chemisorption of the particular compound to the metal surface. The efficiency may be interpreted in terms of the increased electron density of the heterocyclic system at the nitrogen atom.

Corrosion and stress corrosion cracking behaviour of a series of amorphous iron alloys FeNiMo,B (x = 0, 2, 4, 8.5) has been investigated in several neutral and acidic media. In particular in aqueous solutions of ferric chloride, potassium tetrathionate and sulphuric acid containing chlorides stress
## Abstract Mixed rare earth organophosphates have been investigated as potential corrosion inhibitors for AA2024βT3 with the aim of replacing chromateβbased technologies. Cerium diphenyl phosphate (Ce(dpp)~3~) and mischmetal diphenyl phosphate (Mm(dpp)~3~) were added to epoxy coatings applied to A
