✦ Synopsis
We investigate the effect of the compact Hilbert space associated to the spin degree of freedom on the Husimi distributions of a spin-boson system (maser model). In the classical limit, the phase space associated to such a degree of freedom is Iimited to a circle of radius ,,/% (J being the total spin). Therefore for high enough energies the classical trajectories exhibit many self crossings and cusps. In this work we show that such characteristic behavior is also reflected in the corresponding quantum regime. Marked intensity enhancements are found.

The linear plus Coulomb potential V(r) =ar-b/r is considered. The first-, third, and fifth-order phase-integral formulas for expectation values of integer powers of r are expressed in terms of complete elliptic integrals. It is pointed out how these results can be used to calculate the probability
Using the weak field expansion, we have calculated the groundstate energy of the hydrogen atom in a magnetic field for values of the field up to about 10" G. The perturbative expansion has been summed by an order-dependent mapping method. Results are compared with previous calculations. This method
