β¦ Synopsis
VSM magnetic hysteresis measurements are correlated with TEM studies of planar dislocation networks for a number of 2212-BSCCO crystals in the as-grown state and in high temperature oxygen and vacuum annealed samples. Anomalous magnetic features at finite fields are associated with a locking of the pancake vortices to the planar defects. Detailed studies as a function of sample processing, temperature and field are reported.
