Correlation between surface structure and magnetic properties of HTSC-ceramics

✦ Synopsis

This article presents the results of applying scanning tunnelling microscopy (STM) methods to the surface electronic density characteristics of the YBa2Cu307.n + HfOz composition HTSC-ceramics in order to find the correlation of these characteristics with magnetic properties of these materials. It is shown, that addition of a doped admixture in the HTSC-ceramics causes a change of magnetic flux penetration mechanism. The fractal dimension of the surface distribution of electronic density is also determined.
