H. Fenner and Y. Benjamini have independently pointed out that the proof that the equal mean conÿguration maximizes the FDR is incorrect; in particular, the claimed ordering on the number of false and true rejections given at the bottom of p. 382 is false. Nevertheless, simulations indicate that SNK does control the FDR, with the equal mean conÿguration being the least favorable.
