## Abstract This paper presents a simple vapour deposition method for one‐step synthesis of SiC//SiO~2~ core‐shell heterostructured nanowires. The phases, structures and morphologies of the synthesized core‐shell heterostructures are systemically studied by field emission scanning electron microsco
