✦ Synopsis
The properties of high-spin states in 2°8Po have been investigated using the 2°4Hg(gBe,5n)2°SPo reaction at a bombarding energy of 62 MeV. Decay properties for states in 2°8po up to an excitation energy of 9643 keV and spins up to J = 24 have been deduced. The level scheme is compared with predictions of multi-particle shell-model calculations and evidence is presented that the coreexcited states intrude into the decay sequence at an excitation energy near 6500 keV, although they do not form isomers. Above 7.5 MeV the yrast line is dominated by core-excited states. (~) 1997 Elsevier Science B.V.

Excited states in the nuclei 210 At and 211 At have been studied using 208 Pb( 7 Li, xn) reactions. Detailed spectroscopy of levels up to 30 h has been achieved. New isomeric levels arising from core-excited states were observed, with the highest-lying isomers attributed to a coupling of the π[h 2 9
The energies and fine structures of some doubly excited resonances of lithiumlike beryllium are calculated using the saddle-point variational method. A restricted variational method is used to extrapolate a better nonrelativistic energy. Relativistic and mass polarization corrections are included. O
