Ocular bovine tissues have been analyzed for copper using atomic absorption spectroscopy. Copper concentrations in various portions of the eye are reported as milligrams of copper per gram of tissue using wet and dry weights. The proposed method has provided reproducible copper concentrations in various dissected eye tissues. O 1995 Academic Press, Inc.
