✦ Synopsis

Abstraet--2A,4-Trimethyl-2-oxazoline as a nucleophilic monomer was copolymerized without added initiator with N-phenylmaleimide and p-methoxyphenylmaleimide as electrophilic monomers. The copolymerizations were performed under various conditions. The copolymers were characterized by elemental analyses, i.r. and ~H-NMR spectroscopy. The copolymer compositions were determined by elemental analyses (N/C ratio) and ~H-NMR spectroscopy. The apparent monomer reactivity ratios were determined.
