✦ Synopsis
A new ligand, S-benzyl-(ferrocenyl)ethylidenedithiocarbazate FcC (CH3 1 = NNHCSSCH2C6H5 (Ftsbh) (Fc = g5-CgHgFeCgH4) and its cowlexes with lanthanide, Ln(Ftsbj3(Ln = lanthanide) have been prepared and characterized. The data of elemental analyses, IR, UV, NMR, molar conductance, TG and DTA show that the ligand coordinates with Ln(lll) in thiol form with a molar ratio of 3 : 1. The complexes are non-electrolytes in DMF and the C-N bonds in complexes became very strong and much more thermostable than that in the ligand due to forming the chelate rings.

## Abstract From the two nitrogen‐rich ligands BT^2−^ (BT=5,5′‐bitetrazole) and BTT^3−^ (BTT=1,3‐bis(1__H__‐tetrazol‐5‐yl)triazene), a series of novel rare earth metal complexes were synthesised. For the BT ligand, a vast number of these complexes could be structurally characterised by single‐cryst
