We have estimated the energy associated with vortex crossing in an anisotropic, clean HTC superconductor. The calculation was performed using the Ginzburg-Landau free energy functional and the lowest Landau level approximation. We found that the energy of crossing UΓ— is low; for instance UΓ— ,~ 8kBT
