An algorithm, based on fuzzy logic, for controlling chaos in a nonlinear fiber ring resonator is presented. The main ad¨antage of using fuzzy logic is the a¨oidance of knowing the nonlinear differential equation that models the resonator. The algorithm is described, simulations are performed, and the results are discussed.
