## Abstract The mechanism of charge generation in transition metal oxide (TMO)‐based charge‐generation layers (CGL) used in stacked organic light‐emitting diodes (OLEDs) is reported upon. An interconnecting unit between two vertically stacked OLEDs, consisting of an abrupt heterointerface between a
