✦ Synopsis
Following a new conception with the aim of finding new anti-1 ixlwrcular compounds, some hydrazides and hydrazones of the cinc.honinic acid series substituted in position 2 have been prepared.
The atteinpts to introduce a polar group have been successful only in the cases of isonicotinyloxyethylhydrazide, with a lowering of the biological activity, and of the 2-hexyl-cinchoninic acid hydrazide.
Furthermore, for reasons of analogous electronic configurations with I N H , there have been synthetised some aromatic paranitro hydrazides.
Among those compounds, which have been tested in ritro, only thc hyvdrazides of the 2-hexyl-cinchoninic acid and the paranitrosalicylic acid show some notable antitubercular activity.
