## Abstract Previous studies from our laboratory and others have suggested that increased expression of __cox‐2__ is important in the genesis of esophageal adenocarcinoma. __In vitro__ studies suggest that __cox‐2__ regulates expression of the anti‐apoptotic protein bcl‐2, thus possibly accounting
