It is found that intersgstem crossings between the singlet and the MS = fl components of the triplet state of radical p&in liquids can produce nuclear and electron spin polarizations when two radicals diffuse apart follOWing arl initial encounter and subsequently undergo a second nonreactive encounter with each other.
