Two particular types of penetration curves, obtained for diffusion studies of slightly soluble elements using radiotracers, are analyzed. 1. Bulk diffusion monitored by the Gruzin method: the absorption coefficient of the radiation is low, and there is an excess of solute on the surface. 2. Grain bo
