In this paper we consider the initial-boundary value problem for the 2\_2 system of conservation laws (1.1) on the domain 0.[(t, x) # R 2 : t 0 and x 9(t)], for some boundary profile 9: R + [ R. As usual, (1.1) is assumed to be strictly hyperbolic and with each characteristic field either linearly
