✦ Synopsis
Abstract
Continuous raster scanning can improve avdominal ′B scan image resolution and decrease the time required for scanning. Rapid, serial, single‐sweep scans are performed at 3 to 8 mm intervals during suspended respiration. This technique markedly reduces organ distortion by respiratory and vascular motion. It is best performed with a contact scanner operating in video mode that utilizes a high resolution storage oscilloscope.
