✦ Synopsis
In this paper the continuity property of the generalized modus ponens in the approximate reasoning is discussed. It is shown that the continuity in the uniform metric and the Hausdorff metric is equivalent on the RL-type intervals. Continuity of the generalized modus ponens is examined in Hausdorff, Hausdorff~ and uniform metric.

In this article we introduce an extension of Zadeh's compositional rule of inference in terms of the general rule of inference using a triangular norm extended to n arguments. Using this extension, all inferences schemes, crisp as well as fuzzy, based on the compositional rule of inference can be ob
