The International Journal of Chemical Kinetics has had a change of editors. This change is really a continuation in many ways. The new Editors, long-time associates of outgoing Editor, Sid Benson, have been involved with the journal since its inception and plan to carry on the traditions of excellence initiated by Professor Benson in all those areas for which the journal has been justifiably well known and oft cited.

We, the new Editors, look forward to and encourage an expansion in scope that includes heretofore less well represented areas of chemical kinetics. These include, but are not restricted to, organometallic chemistry, surface chemistry, and other aspects of heterogeneous processes, as well as domains of gas-phase kinetics that have not often been associated with
