โฆ Synopsis
Full Paper: Aqueous solution of poly(ethylene oxide)-block-poly(propylene oxide) diblock copolymers (E 102 P 37 and E 92 P 55 ) are studied by rheology. Storage and loss modulus as well as yield stress are used to detect and characterise hard and soft gels in a concentration range between 4 and 28 wt.-% copolymer at temperatures between 5 and 85 8C (see phase diagram in the Figure ). The phase diagrams of related block copolymers are compared with the results, revealing that the mesophase behaviour of the systems presented here depend on the effective thickness of the E-block corona and the stability of the micelles at low temperature.
