โœฆ Synopsis

In this paper we describe the computer construction of the representations of Fischer's Baby Monster simple group in 4371 dimensions over fields of 3 and 5 elements. As applications we construct representations for the Thompson group which will assist in determining much of the 3-modular and 5-modular character tables.
