β¦ Synopsis
Mouse immunoglobulin IgE allotype, IgEa and IgEb, was demonstrated by B orges and co-workers ( 19 81 ) by the use of alloantisera, and the locus was designated Igh-7. They showed that the locus controlling Igh-7 allotype is strongly linked with the Igh-1 locus, and that distribution of Igh-7b strictly follows the inheritance pattern of Igh-lb; on the other hand, Igh-7a allotype shows cross reactivity with Igh-la, Igh-1 a, Igh-le, and Igh-1 j. In the study on differences between the nucleic acid sequences of these alleles, Shinkai and co-workers (1988) found that there are 12 singlebase changes in the CH1-CH4 domains, two in CH1 and CH2 are silent, whereas two of the three in CH3 and five of the seven in CH4 result in amino acid substitutions

B14-2-14 is a monoclonal cytotoxic IgM antibody which reacts with thymocytes of all mouse strains tested. The fraction of positive cells (by visual immunofluorescence) varies between strains from about 25-45% in A.CA to 65-85% in C57BL/6, and high levels are dominant in F1 hybrids. In the periphery,
Anti-actin monoclonal antibodies were prepared using phalloidin-stabilized actin that was purified from pea roots by DNase I affinity chromatography. One monoclonal antibody, designated mAb3H 1 1, bound plant actin in preliminary screenings and was further analyzed. Immunoblot analysis showed that t
