โœฆ Synopsis

method for fault location in technical systems is suggested, based on statistical decision-theory procedures and taking account of diagnosis quality. Different criteria for decision making are proposed. A block connection diagram of the device is used as a diagnostic model. The final algorithm is optimal at every step, according to the selected criterion.

This paper describes a series of development tests carried out when developing a fault location system applied for the main bus of GIS (gas-insulated switchgear) by using shock pressure relays. In the main bus of this GIS, each gas section per bay is connected by gas pipings. This paper also refers

Several schemes for detecting and locating faulty processors through self-diagnosis in multiprocessor systems have been discussed in the past. These schemes attempt to start multiple copies (versions) of the tasks on available idle processors simultaneously and compare the results generated by the c

We describe a fault location system currently under development at Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory for the HISS Time of Flight Wall. The system identifies malfunctioning components by monitoring the detector output channels. For single component failures, a fast simple, lookup procedure reduces the num
