Using the fact that extremum of variation of generalized action can lead to the fractional dynamics in the case of systems with long-range interaction and long-term memory function, we consider two different applications of the action principle: generalized Noether's theorem and Hamiltonian type equ

β¦ Synopsis
By making use of the Laplace transform over the time variable, the evolution equations of a linear viscoelastic solid are shown to admit a L,-type variational formulation. Conservation laws are then determined via a generalized version of Noether's theorem where the divergence of a flux is allowed to occur additively. The approach is applicable to more general models of systems with memory.
