Since 1993, Transportation Research Part C: Emerging Technologies has addressed development, application and implications, in the field of transportation, of emerging technologies from such fields as engineering, computer science, electronics, control systems and telecommunications, among others. It has provided papers, review articles and book reviews of current interest on a wide variety of subjects including emerging technologies for all modes; intelligent transportation systems; adaptive control and real-time operations; sensors and detection systems; infrastructure applications of emerging technologies.

Given the interdisciplinary nature of the transportation field, readers require ever more flexible mechanisms to help them keep in touch with the latest issues. Responding to these requirements, all volumes of Transportation Research Part C since 1993 are now available both in print and electronically.
